SHOOTING FOR HOPE
Shooting for Hope is an annual clay shoot tournament that benefits the HCA Healthcare family through the HCA Healthcare Hope Fund. The tournament was first held in 2019 as a partnership between Orange Park Medical Center and Commercial Construction Services. Richard Michaux, the former Director of Facilities at Orange Park Medical Center, and Dan Davis, President and Owner of Commercial Construction Services, believed that a clay shoot tournament would be the best way to raise funds for those within the HCA family that were in need.
In its inaugural year, the tournament exceeded expectations with 83 shooters in attendance. From sponsorships, registrations, golf cart drawing ticket sales, and chance drawing ticket sales, Shooting for Hope was able to donate $25,000.00 to the HCA Healthcare Hope Fund.
Since the inaugural tournament, Shooting for Hope has added Memorial Hospital, another local HCA Healthcare affiliate, as a founding partner.
In addition to the founding partners, Shooting for Hope has established a committee with representatives from local businesses that help support local HCA facilities. The committee includes representatives from Miller Electric Company, Brown Enterprises, W.W Gay, and Charles Perry Partners Inc.
The founding partners and committee members strive to expand Shooting for Hope for years to come, with the goal of providing hope to those within HCA that need it.
Thank you for supporting Shooting for Hope!
